This session will offer an overview of the Call for Papers\, explain the scientific importance of bereavement research\, and provide guidance on crafting competitive manuscripts for publication.  \nBereavement — the experience of losing a loved one through death — is increasingly acknowledged as an important health concern by the United States’ federal infrastructure. Rising death rates linked to global crises such as pandemics\, natural disasters\, and societal inequities have dramatically increased the number of bereaved individuals\, with significant implications for population health worldwide. In fact\, current evidence highlights associations between bereavement and a range of poor health\, social\, and economic outcomes. \nThis informational call will explore the current state of bereavement science and outline why it represents an exciting and timely opportunity for health researchers interested in shaping an emerging yet significant field of science.
